How to tell which EAB version is in use..

I recently opened an issue and it got fixed it seems, but I still don't know for sure if the fix-version is in use on my system, I can only guess, since the [TITLE] placeholder seems to work now, but I can't really tell when that version made it into my browser. (I was asking for a TITLE placeholder in the opened (now closed) issue). #93

In the chrome extension store, there is a version listed for EAB, but how can I tell if my browser makes use of this version? Two questions come up regarding the version handling in generel, maybe you have an advice, maybe this is a little feature request as well.

1. It seems, a little version string is missing somewhere in the configuration page of EAB? How do I tell what version is in use?
2. How does EAB update in the browser, does it update on its own somehow? If yes, when does that happen?
