lol let's start with the service i'm avoiding.

with email there's the service and then there are the clients. Let's start with the service?

one thing i'd personally like in an email service is domain forwarding. that shouldn't be that complicated, but it's a thing to note. asking people to send emails to [email protected] is something i'd like to be able to keep doing.

• fastmail seems to be well-regarded
• protonmail has a reputation (maybe a stale one now?) of being privacy-minded

clients

• native iOS app

I'm going to be giving a few of the following apps a try over the next few... let's say weeks?

• Hey
• Edison
• Spark
• Airmail
• Outlook (hm)

all of these apps are pretty iOS-specific, so alternative platform recommendations would be helpful if possible (even android; i can't expect that people committing to not using one service can make a categorical commit to not using any G service)
