When creating Dockerfiles for Magento installs, should technologies such as Ansible, Puppet of Chef be used? Or is it better to keep things simple any only rely on shells scripts?
I have created some images already just using shell scripts and it has seemed fine. I have heard good things about Ansible (and Puppet and Chef), but my question is whether they are more complicated than needed for these Magento Dockerfiles. Each more additional technology adds another barrier to understanding the Dockerfiles. So I would like to be sure using these other technologies delivers sufficient benefit to make them worth the extra technology to learn. Opinions welcome!
