Hello @Julientroploin, thanks for your feedback. Did you manage to get it working? For setting the emblem we use a command called: Another thing you can do is running nautilus from a console so you can see the error messages and maybe you will be able to see some error message from this package. |
Hello @agonzalezro, thanks for your response.
If I lauch nautilus from a terminal , I get a lots of GVFS-WARNING messages at launch and if I go to the Emblems tab and select one, I get a "This tool has been deprecated, use 'gio set' instead. See 'gio help set' for more info." message and other GVFS-WARNING :

I've found pages about the 1st issue you mention but I don't know if it is fixable on client side (not a terminal expert). Here is the result you asked for :

@Julientroploin I am not using Gnome anymore and I can't test this myself but in case you are still interested in using the emblems maybe a solution would be replaced the py script you installed with a modified version that uses For doing that you will need to change the command here: https://github.com/agonzalezro/gnome3-emblems/blob/master/emblems.py#L55-L70 but I don't know the The long term solution for this problem should be checked the version of nautilus and use I'm sorry that I can't be of more help to you. |
Hello,
have installed the nautilus-emblems (from bionic/universe) on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS and the new tab in directories proprieties appeared, but setting an emblem in it didn't have any effect... even after killing/restarting nautilus.
I came to this site from the link in nautilus-emblems description page in synaptics and saw your read-me that doesn't mention the repo version. Is the version in repo obsolete ? Did I misunderstood something ?
Hope this help.
