The SMT "Provision of Company Data" needs to incorporate certificate documents. Since several submodels ("Handover Documentation", "Digital Nameplate", "Explosion Safety", "Digital Quality Document") contain certificate data in various forms, the working group Company Data prefers a unified solution instead of introducing a new structure.

Proposed Solution:

At the moment we integrate all kinds of documents through "Handover Documentation", either as drop-in or as a new submodel within the company AAS. VDI 2770 Sheet 1: 2020 offers classification 02-04 "Certificates, declarations". However, the SMT Handover Documentation lacks options to provide certificate data in machine-readable format.

Required data points for "Provision of Company Data":

  • Type of Certificate (similar to TypeOfApproval in SMT Digital Nameplate)
  • Certification Authority (similar to ApprovalAgencyTestingAgency in SMT Digital Nameplate/Explosion Safety)
  • Certificate Number (similar to DesignationOfCertificateOrApproval in SMT Digital Nameplate)
  • Issue Date (as in SMT Digital Nameplate)
  • Expiry Date (as in SMT Digital Nameplate)

If adding these data points to future versions of the SMT this is out of scope, we would need to find solutions within a different submodel.
