I propose to rename the folders:

use template ID (i.e. Submodel/id) as folder name (substitute special characters by "." or similar), but do not include version
make versions subfolders

Example: Digital Nameplate with template ID: https://admin-shell.io/idta/SubmodelTemplate/DigitalNameplate/2/0 would be
idta.submodel-template.digital-nameplate
2.0
2.1

Advantages:

no blanks in folder structure
better overview if version not part of top level folder
more than one namespaces can be handled, e.g. for joint works with other associations/consortia
clear folder structure enables tooling to look automatically for SMT dropIns (although these use semantic ID... we need to check on this)
