Hello,

I created several groups.

So that each machine falls into its own group when it connects, do I have to download the agent appropriate to each group and install it in the client machine concerned (which is tedious) or is there another simpler method?

Yes. Simply download the meshagent for the group using this Add Agent and install it.

I also noticed that when I install the agent and update the old agent on a client machine to change groups, it does not work.

Changing groups is very tricky and doesn't work correctly all the time
The simplest way is to uninstall the meshagent then install the new meshagent with the new group

Also, in theory, you can change the group in the Web ui, which should filter through

Just be aware that this is the bug where the device doesn't always remember what group it was put into so it can revert to its original group
