git diff
git apply
I am sure I am missing something that I do not know and I could find the in the manual.
Recently, I used a simple workflow as:
$ git diff > /tmp/my.patch $ git apply < /tmp/my.patch error: No valid patches in input (allow with "--allow-empty")
The root cause seems to be that difftastic does not generate the diff default character sequences; e.g. <, +, ... when I am creating the diff patch.
<
+
What's the correct usage in this case?
Thanks for making difftastic
