Motivation

I think it would be useful if changes to the stream settings were persistent. By default, the resolution is 720p, the frame rate is 30fps, and the content type is 'prefer smoothness'. Also the audio stream is set to None. I basically always change these settings and I have to change them everytime a new stream is started. For extra info, I am running the linux client.

Solution

Make the settings persistent between streams.

Alternatives

I would find that an extra settings menu to change the defaults would also solve the issue.

Additional context

I'm not sure whether this falls under the same category as issue #998, although I think that one was asking to actually change the Vesktop defaults. I am also not sure whether this applies to Vesktop or Vencord. I am sorry if it is the latter.
