Compatibility Report

  • Name of the game with compatibility issues: Arken Age
  • Steam AppID of the game: 2274200

System Information

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

  • Game doesn't start. A Window briefly appears with an Unity crashlog then disappears:

Reproduction

Just press play from the SteamVR dashboard. I also tried pressing play from the screen, where it offers two alternatives: "Launch Arken Age [Recommended] in OpenXR Mode" and "Launch Arken Age with PSVR2, Other Headset, & Controller Binding Support in Steam VR Mode". Neither works.

Hello @Patola, err:module:import_dll Library OpenCL.dll (which is needed by L"Z:\\nvme\\SteamLibrary\\steamapps\\common\\Arken Age\\Arken Age_Data\\Plugins\\x86_64\\GPUUtilities.dll") not found looks like a line of interest from your Proton log.

It is. Just for the sake of the test, I found a number of other games that had this library. I've put it in the compatdata/2274200/pfx/drive_c/windows/system32 directory and it stopped showing this error, but still had that segmentation fault. Not sure it will help, but here's the proton log without the OpenCL error.

Ok... I copied the OpenCL.dll from my spare windows 10 partition to the prefix and it now works. I wonder if there's some winetricks for that? Couldn't find it. Will try and figure out the recipe.

Same, had to download OpenCL.dll from dll-files. The ones that come with the Wine seem to not work.
