I used my elm327 in another car to clear DTCs and since then, my esp32 board no longer reads pids. Is says bluetooth connected but reads no pids, i tried different elm327 adaptors and also tried re-flashing the board. Nothing seems to be working. Also tried reading info from obdii using android apps, that works, so its not the car/elm327 issue.

you mean it didn't work on another car? or you cannot clear DTCs on another car?
