Accessibility - Information Icon Says it's a Button but Not it's Function #22
Comments
I've flagged this as a high priority issue. We will ask the developers to address before 9/11. |
Thanks, for getting the developers to fix this item. It's important for those using screen readers. Is the Information icon even being used? If not you should remove it or fix it's function along with telling the user what it is. |
Thanks, for saying it's for information. The item should be a link now that I know what it's function is to take a user to another screen. Leaving this open until issue #21 is closed to change it from a button to a link. |
ICF, please make information button a link to the About this App page. |
The information icon does not allow a VoiceOver user to tap to open the link to go to the information content screen. I can tap on the line with VoiceOver off, and it goes to the screen. VoiceOver users need to be able to get to the content. |
The information link at the bottom on the home screen works with our Android device. |
From ICF: Initial issue is fixed, button doesn't work. |
I'm now able to open the information LINK with VoiceOver, but it does not start reading at the top of the screen as expected. VoiceOver seems to read from the place you double tap on the screen but mostly at the last or second to last paragraph. |
Focus issue still remains .. |
The information icon says it's a button but not it's function.
Plus, I can't open it with a screen reader or without.
Are the three items under the navigation supposed to be prat of the information icon at the bottom of the page?
