I'm posting this as an FYI in case others hit this problem and come here to look for assistance, there is no error in the guide, in fact it mentions the cause in passing but it took me a bit of poking around to discover what happned.

This error was reported June 9 and in his reply to that poster Tyler799 thought it may have been due to some .INI editing the guide contained at that time and he said he was going to remove them from the guide; as far as I can see this was done, I haven't come across any .INI edits in there and certainly haven't done any myself.

[Note, I am in no way saying Tyler was wrong at that time, I am simply noting that it was not the cause of my problem now]

In my case the error was caused by the .INI corruption the guide notes that Wrye can cause, the first many lines of my .INI post-Wrye were Wrye's log output; interestingly they had overwritten the first lines on the .INI not replace the entire file!

Simply replacing the .INI from my MO2 backup fixed the problem.

As I say, this is an FYI, no action is needed and if this isn't the place for such notes to be posted then I'm fine if the ticket is removed.
