transactions

I'd like to start a discussion on transactions again. I think we should consider a optional setting to initiate a transaction when performing a query service, and it returns a transaction handle, which can be passed through to other services. This seems like an elegant option.. I think it should seriously be considered given relationships need to be set via subsequent queryservice calls.
