Hello. I work on a similar project, and I wanted to know how the desktop environment works so I can recreate it. Please provide a reference of some kind I can look at.

The main branch of this project is not currently in active development. Over time, various parts of the codebase have become so tangled and broken that even I have lost track of how some things were supposed to work.

If you're looking for a more structured starting point, I recommend checking out the WM (Window Manager) branch. On that branch, I'm working on rewriting the project with a cleaner, more flexible architecture. It's still a work in progress, but it should give you a clearer idea of how to get started.
