Describe the solution you'd like
Automate the SQL operations such that upgrading the module requires.

Describe alternatives you've considered
UPDATE_SQL.md currently has the single update step which needs SQL changes.

Additional context
@tnewton1 from @nodespacehosting commits include work in this area
