Issues with the gallery

I love the gallery function, but it has a couple problems IMHO.
The fact that it needs to load all images before being able to render is annoying because some posts have a very large amount of images, and it takes several minutes to completely load. It would be better if gallery was available from the get-go, even if only on single image mode. Also on the gallery more often then not I'm going through images using right arrow and the script decides to change posts instead of images which make me go back and wait for the gallery to load again. A different key for the gallery would be best IMHO.
