didn't know there's a dedicated thread for bugs already, i will use it from now. here are a couple more bugs i found, just minor issues as before, just gonna write now so i don't forget. sorry for the burden!

when playing a song with no album art from an artist with artist logo while viewing the Library (Playlist/Lyrics/Bio all work fine), the artist logo shows up in a glitchy manner at the bottom left corner of the art panel

even though i disabled all tooltips except for the timeline, the tooltips for Filter and Settings in Library View still appear

Good catches! Damn, I have encountered and fixed the artist logo bug months ago. Guess I have not checked the library...
Also the tooltip is a new thing =)

Thanks for reporting, what do you mean exactly "in file explorer" ?
You mean you've linked your flac files in explorer with foobar and it opens automatically?

yes, Windows' file explorer. i installed FB2K the standard way to be able to set format association.

also another crash: i have a hotkey set up for activating quicksearch

typing in it and pressing Enter to get results would crash foobar sometimes, but it's also not readily reproduceable. here is the last log i saved, not sure if it's different each time

edit: ok i can successfully reproduce it

assign quicksearch hotkey in settings
use hotkey to bring up quicksearch window
type in a query and press Enter, the results should appear in playlist view and the query should disappear, while the quicksearch window should lose focus
press Enter again to trigger the crash. identical log as above

Btw I don't see any purpose to install foobar as standard installation, you can make format associations also for portable apps if you just right click the format in windows explorer > Properties. In the window Opens with: select the foobar2000.exe from your portable folder. The only downside is that if you move your portable folder to another location you need to relink the correct location of your portable foobar2000.exe. But that's really not a problem, you don't move or rename your foobar folder all the time =)

hmm i managed to somehow completely bork the theme almost whenever i queue up tracks. music still plays but reloads don't have an effect, i have to hard reset the theme. not 100% reproducible yet but almost always happens whenever i'm playing a song, then selecting multiple tracks from the same album and queuing those

not sure if this is a bug or intended, but the release edition flag doesn't display when the catalogue number exceeds 9 characters

Not a bug, it's intended. When there isn't enough grid width space available, the flag won't be shown.
You can check if you lower the font size in Options > Font size > Details > Tag name and/or Tag value
Nevertheless in the upcoming QHD update, I did increase the grid width space a little bit, still want to have the same padding on the right edge side as on the left...

What version are you using? The QHD version I've send you or the latest from Github?
Does it point to this line HERE your current Panel_Playlist.js ?
What options are you using? Options > Playlist > Always scroll to current playing song? Reborn theme?
Top menu > Playback > Cursor follows playback or Playback follows cursor?
Do you use other user-components besides the default ones from the zip?

the Github version, but not the latest, just manually applied some of your recent commits, including the queue color fix in panel_playlist.js
yes, that line corresponds with line 1475 in my current panel_playlist.js
i'm using Dark Blue theme. here are my options
yes i use a few others, though none were really 'active' at the time the crash happened

Hi @JosipPrekratic,

can you please explain it more in details? When you open an audio CD via File > Open audio CD...
select your drive and play, it will auto-generate a new playlist with the audio CD tracks and it will play the CD.
The progress bar is working as intended, there is no problem. There won't be any progress bar fill at all when you
start streaming ( radio ) .

Correct, it will generate a new playlist with the tracks from CD. Color in progress bar is full. I can jump to any part of the song in progress bar, but color is full.

i came across a new crash which might be similar to the playlist initialization/update crash. it is reproducible by clicking really fast on the artist/album/genre name in the large header in playlist view, until the crash occurs

amazing update, totally worth the wait! let the bug reporting commence :D

This is not a bug but a design choice =) , in HD, QHD and 4K mode in player size 'Small' the top menu is exactly pixel perfect positioned ( if you hover over Options and Details, the marker margin looks the same in all top menu buttons ). It indicates that you can't resize the player any smaller, it's the limit. If you resize the players width, you will see that the panel buttons will either be in the middle all the time or if you resize it to a small size, it will snap back with the other buttons.

interesting, i can replicate what you said for HD and QHD, but for 4k the buttons will always be left aligned no matter what. guessing my 14" screen size plays a part here too.

Well it depends on the player size width, if the player size width does not reach a certain width size, the buttons will not be centered.
I guess you don't have a 4K monitor but if I remember a QHD monitor. Because your desktop resolution is not high enough when using the 4K mode and resizing the player, that's why it's working for you in QHD and HD mode...

It's working quite well if you use a 4K monitor with the 4K display mode.

Alright 2.0.3B fixed the navigation with the arrow keys in the library, which is absolutely marvelous. There is still something annoying with the keyboard navigation though: moving the mouse turns it into a cat and mouse chase since the selection jumps to where the mousepointer is instead of just following your arrow key input of going up or down.

I don't know if WilB intended this behavior but this is also in his original Library.
Well I guess you use either the mouse or the keyboard, but WilB himself can answer if it's a bug or not...

@Wil-B, this happens if you use the keyboard arrows up and down for navigation and then just mouse hover ( not selecting )
over an item in row and use the keyboard arrows again, it will jump to the hovered item position...

Yes, I figured out that's how it worked after being very confused a few times. I figured it had to be a bug since it does not work the same way in the playlist. I've unchecked the row mouse hover to remove this behavior, obviously this removes the mouse hover highlighting as well, but I'm willing to do that.

hey mate, can you test new auto-detection for me out? I've rewritten it and I know you have a QHD monitor...

I've tested it on my 4K monitor and for me it's working ( when I switch resolution to HD, QHD and 4K, all modes in auto-detect will be correctly selected ) and it's DPI independent, that means it will only check if certain resolution can be obtained and auto-select the display mode in Options > Display, which is ideal, no more DPI dependency...

Can you check if its also working for you?
Open helpers.js and just replace this function:

Save and restart foobar, check for all modes ( if you manually select another one and hit auto-detect ) see if they are correctly selected in Options > Display , in your case, with your res it should be always QHD mode.

@silverwings15, can you be more specific about "it works fine on a fresh portable profile" ?

Can you check if your old current setup has the right config files ( the files from the configuration folder from the zip )?
That means, I think it is the foo_spider_monkey_panel.dll.cfg file that contains the modified SMP script timeout. Before you do that, check in your old setup if it has the modified SMP script timeout in Preferences > Advanced > Script execution time limit before triggering a slow script warning (in seconds) : 30 ( <- This setting is almost at the bottom ). It should be modified to 30 seconds... I think default is 5.

i meant i made a new portable installation, added your fixed helpers.js and the auto-detect works as you described (always changing it to QHD)

my old setup does have the new foo_spider_monkey_panel.dll.cfg, and the setting does show 30 seconds when i check. i guess it's some gruft in the %appdata% folder that's causing this

Nice, this means it also works if you manually switch to different display modes ( 4K, HD ) and hit auto-detect it will switch to QHD while using your QHD desktop res, and also if you switch your desktop resolution to FHD 1920 x 1080 ( and restart foobar ) and hit auto-detect it will switch to HD, right?

I've send another QHD user the new auto-detection for testing and waiting for his response. After final confirmation, I will push it on Github.

Not a bug, you have not used the original SMP component that is included in the update. You have SMP 1.6.1, in the update it is S.M.P 1.6.2.
Download the https://github.com/TT-ReBORN/Georgia-ReBORN-development/archive/refs/heads/master.zip and replace the SMP from the user-component with your existing one. How did you install the update? :D

I've also read it somewhere on HydrogenAudio that this could happen sometimes if many album covers have large res,
e.g 3000 x 3000px. But I've also large covers :)

Found a couple of minor visual bugs.

In this video, there are two bugs.

When you turn on blending and play a song, a portion of the album art will appear on the left side. Playing another song within the same album will replace it with a solid colour.
Another bug within this video is that when you choose an album, it'll quickly flicker from an incorrect colour to the correct colour. The first album starts with a light blue (Which might be another bug that I'll go over soon) and it quickly switches to its correct colour (red). Afterwards, when you switch to another album, it'll use the colour of the previous album you listened to, then it will switch to the proper colour. I would also like to add that if you were to switch to an album that you have already played, the glitch won't happen.

Another visual bug, seems like the theme is having trouble choosing the correct colour for these albums so it will resort to a light blue. (#A4C2D7 for the hex code) Seems like a lot of the black and white album covers are suffering from this bug, however, I do have plenty of other black and white album covers that don't have this issue. Plus the In Flames and Slayer album covers are not monochromatic yet they still have this problem.

4. Lastly, it seems as though the theme likes to push the album cover slightly to the left off-screen which crops out a portion of the cover. In the top picture I posted, you can the "S" in "System" is all the way at the edge of the screen. For comparison, I uploaded the actual album cover.

All of my issues except the accent colour have been fixed, thank you soo much for the fixes!

As for the accent colour issue, seems like it persists with my album covers but when I swapped in your version of the album covers in (Slayer & In Flames), it worked oddly enough. I checked the console and it did not say anything about the album art not being parsed properly.

bug report: Georgia-ReBORN v2.3.0 Beta 10d, fresh install with foobar 2.0 beta 13 x86 portable.

If there's offset in lyrics saved in my pc, it cannot display properly. eslyric just bypassed the offset. I just modifyed lyricsCustomDir in georgia-reborn-config.jsonc. it's totally clean. meanwhile, these lyrics display perfectly in foobar 1.6.14 with eole v1.2.3b21.

BTW, i'm new user of this great theme. Thank you for your great work, TT. It's perfect. It's very nice of you to maintain and solve any tiny problem in time with great patience.

Hi @whydavid2022,

what do you mean they cannot display properly? Are they displayed at all or not? And how do you save offset in lyrics?
You can only set the offset if you mouse wheel scroll up and down ( mouse over album art ) on the lyrics.
If you can not display any lyrics at all with custom lyrics directory, change in foobar's Preferences > ESLyric > Lyric options > Location > Browse... to your custom lyric folder and restart foobar.

thanks for you rapid reply. It's hard to describe clearly.
1.i've set custom lyrics directory both in ESLyric > Lyric options > Location and in georgia-reborn-config.jsonc correctly followed by your instruct from the file of CHANGELOG.md.
2. lyrics can be displayed. but it seems foobar with georgia-reborn just ingnored the offset in the lyric file.
3. i used to foobar with eole as music player for a long time. eole also use ESLyric as you know. so i've saved all lyrics in a folder which set as custom lyrics directory.
4. same lyric, same music file, same played time, different highlighted. you can see georgia-reborn maybe ignore [offset:-3700] from the lyric so that it goes faster than eole about 3.7 secs.

Btw is your offset in the lyrics panel 0 ( default )? Maybe you accidentally did mouse wheel scroll and changed the offset
that is affecting for all lyrics.

If that does not help, can you make a zip file that contains the song with the lyric file and just drag and drop it here
so I can take a look?

Thanks for your help. i've uploaded the music and lyric files. i'm not an english speaker, it's hard to make things clearly. your estemed theme works fine on my pc except that tiny confusing offset. i hope it's just my fault.

i don't know how to make the post elegant. sorry for any inconvenience to read. btw, it took me several hours everyday to find more and more wonderful functions in ReBORN. i'm trying to find an easy way to tag all my music to realise country flag showing feature. thank you and all your elite team again.

The offset will be automatically applied if it is present in the lrc file.

Bug Report: FooBar2K crashes after loading Georgia ReBorn theme--issue with Spider Monkey Panel. I am not sure how to fix or troubleshoot.

you're using the version from the Github main page which is very old.
Please use the version from the Beta testing thread instead.
I will update the Github main page when the first public release is ready, which will be soon...

Hi @wiwaz,

first of all what version are you using, the latest from here?

What image format is your TEST image? Normally it should first load the ones from your music album directory, i.e
folder.jpg/png
cover.jpg/png
front.jpg/png
*.*jpg/png.

If nothing was found or it could not load the image successfully ( see console for error messages, top menu > View > Console ),
it will try embedded images from the music files and when nothing was found, it will show a no album art stub.

It's an embedded image, I have foobar set to prefer embedded art but the album art view does not respect this.

Preferences > Advanced > Display > Album Art to 'Prefer Embedded'?

You can't use most of foobar's preference settings because there are intended for the original foobar,
not when you're using foobar with a theme. Well, this statement is not entirely correct, when you use 'simple'
themes ( DUI themes ) then it can be controlled.

Anyways, I can make an option in the theme to use embedded art only.

Since upgrading to 3.0-RC1, the Details view is extremely slow for me. Here is some relevant info:

foobar 2.0 x86
Been testing the Betas for quite a long time now and never had any slowdown
I have a Ryzen 7 5800X with 64 GB of RAM, so performance shouldn't be an issue
I am running a non-portable install, but that has been the case all along
The disc animation used to work flawlessly at the two most demanding settings. Now, I can't even turn on the animation because it basically locks up Foobar.
Even without discart showing, the Details screen is very laggy (~5 sec for the UI to respond to the mouse)
My album art for the most part is 4000x4000 and disc art is a transparency enabled .png on the order of 1400x1400. This has worked fine through all the betas as long as I increase the maximum art size in the advanced settings.

I have tried the following so far:

Deleting all settings (configuration, eslyric-data, georgia-reborn, user-components) folders
Changing the Spider Monkey heap size/etc in advanced settings as recommended in another post on here
Removing all additional user components
Setting the theme to highest performance mode
Resetting the metadata grid on the Details view
Enabling/Disabling icons in the metadata grid

Strangely, disabling the Codec icon seems to make the right-click menu more responsive. No matter what I do, I can't get it back to the pre RC1 responsiveness. The rest of the UI still works great, so not sure what changed here.

yes there is a performance issue in the Details panel, I have already fixed it some time ago and it's available in the master.
You can already download it and replace the files or wait for RC-2.

No flags in compact mode

The flags appear only if you change from default to compact, but flags disappear after switching the track
The same thing if you turn off and on "Display> Show artist country flags > compact"

I've noticed that it's not possible to resize the window if you have the cursor on the edge along the top menu, instead it just moves the window instead.

It has removed the actual foobar top bar 🗕 🗖 ✖ and Windows thinks Georgia-ReBORN's top menu bar is not actual the top bar.
There is nothing I can do and foo_ui_hacks has not been updated since 19.02.2013. The Spider Monkey Panel developer wants to implement all foo_ui_hacks features directly into SMP, then there is no need for this old user-component and eventually this bug...

When I start playback from the "Playlist" view the Vinyl placeholder looks transparent (unloaded?), but when I start playback from the "Details" view then the correct vinyl placeholder is there.

I'm using the latest RC2 (from days ago downloaded) and foobar2000 2.1 ✌️

I do not know which DEV version state you've downloaded but I can not reproduce this weird issue.
Did you make a clean portable install? If not, you could try to do so and check if it is working for you.
It is possible that you're using old config files, or invalid settings that have changed...

I'm currently reworking the whole Playlist script, so I would wait a little bit longer till I release it.
I will let you know when it's ready in the DEV TESTING thread.

Having an issue with Day/Night mode (my timezone is Asia/Tokyo), when I enable the day/night mode it is seemingly inverted, if during the day period it will switch my theme to dark. Any ideas? Thank you, really enjoying the theme

I guess you are using RC-1 or RC-2 version, these had issues with the day/night mode.

I'm not sure if the backup function is working correctly. Before updating to the latest available code, I made a backup. Then when I tried to restore the backup, I got this message:

My backup files exist in the correct location as stated; however, everything in \backup is in a folder called \profile, which then contains \configuration, \dsp-presets, etc.

You have some very old backup or you have mixed it up with foobar v1.6 it seems?
Your library folder should be renamed to library-v2.0 and not just library.

That means either you are making a theme backup with foobar v1.6 or with foobar v2.0+
Both should be compatible but you can not manually mix both because the folder structure is different.

Okay, in /foobar2000-v2 I had both /library and /library-2.0. Deleting /library and the contents of /backup and then making a new backup has now included /library-2.0 in the backup folder.

But, now, when I went to try and restore the backup, foobar crashed:

It seems you have some old version, try the latest DEV from here:

replace your existing files, restart foobar and try again.

Old version of what, exactly? Georgia-ReBORN? Or Spider Monkey Panel?
With the latter, when I do a check for updated components, foobar2000 tells me that there's no updates available at this time.

The old version of the DEV version you are currently using. The DEV version is the current state of the theme I am currently
using when developing. It is updated frequently that contains the latest code changes.

If you click on the main Github page https://github.com/TT-ReBORN/Georgia-ReBORN
you will see at the top right beneath the green <> CODE button the commits.
When you click on them, you will see all commits with dates stamps. For example, when you downloaded
the DEV version 2 weeks ago, you have the script files from two weeks ago.
The latest DEV version may already have fixes to some reported issues.

If it does not work, it could be an issue the dev Wine version (staging) and you should probably stick with the stable Wine version.

it's JScript Panel artist search as you type feature. what happened in this image is that you pressed space, which triggers the feature but since it's space no character is shown. imo a somewhat underdeveloped feature, but idk how to disable it.

It is actually the jump search feature of Georgia-ReBORN in the Playlist and also in the Library.
When you press a keyboard letter or type an artist name it will automatically jump to the position.

There was a very old issue when you pressed CTRL/ALT key where the jump search activated, but this is already fixed
in the DEV version here: https://github.com/TT-ReBORN/Georgia-ReBORN/archive/refs/heads/master.zip .
I think this issue is present in the RC-2 version...

Is this a bug? When I click on an album that is longer than the viewport of the playlist, it scrolls to the centre/middle of the tracklist:

Not sure what you are doing in the video. If you click on the last playlist thumbnail of an album that is not completely in the viewport, it tries to recenter the selected album by scrolling it to the center. When the album is a multi-cd album, it can not completely show everything ( all tracks with playlist header ) in the viewport, I guess this is the case you shown.

Sorry, a bit more context would have helped. To recreate, add an album to an empty playlist - in this case I added an album with 72 tracks over three discs. Now click anywhere in the header. The focus will change, and in this case it actually scrolls all the way to the bottom - that's not me doing anything with my mouse's scroll wheel.

Do you perhaps need to add a case where if the length of the album is longer than the playlist viewport, then don't try and centre it?
