Thanks you so much for the extension and your interest improving it.
I can’t think of an area where there wouldn’t be a conflict with some information on most of a page. For instance: on a Mac (I can’t speak for Windows) in order to quickly select a word or a phrase you click once and then click again for auto select. If you want to copy a link it’s much the same. On Google Maps you use the “+” and “-“ signs to increase or decrease the zoom. In any case it’s a quick multiple click to get the required zoom.
I think your approach is best. I might limit it to the right and left margins or the top of the page view.
I would be happy to try out any new ideas you have.
Thanks again.
Alex
Here’s an example:

Second click:

I will investigate the Google Maps use case and how we can work around it.
Some suggested features, please let me know what you think:
Ability to blacklist some sites
Only allow double click to close tab in certain areas (left / right / edges / top / bottom)

(if the API permits)
double clicking on the tab.
Currently it doesn't.

Interval settings would be nice to have as well. |
Sorry for getting back to you so late. I plan some important improvements for 1.0.0 regarding text selection. |
Thanks, Good the hear.

Here's the issue: The app works exactly as it was designed. Unfortunately double clicking is often necessary to select and copy text or to zoom in or out of a site (Google Maps.) Each and every time the I try to do any of the above the app kicks in and the page quits. It is impossible to navigate around the issue. I would suggest an option to assign a slower click speed to the app or (if the API permits)
double clicking on the tab.
Using the Alternative Middle Click on Page doesn't seem to work on a trackpad.
