Hi, I'm wondering if these features in v2.0 would mean a lot of breaking changes? I'm not too familiar with these specific techniques so I can't tell if upgrading from the current version will be a big task. Is there any single feature that will require big code refactors to migrate from v1 to v2? thanks!

Hi @awongh! We will be sharing more details about Hydrogen very soon! Some of the biggest changes will be in how data is loaded. See this section in the announcement: https://hydrogen.shopify.dev/roadmap/#data-loading

Thanks for the link. Looks cool so far! My question is more around if Hydrogen v2.0 will be backwards compatible with v1.0- in order to upgrade will we be forced to implement these features before upgrade or will the new version continue to support the old version so that we can upgrade incrementally. I can't tell if these changes are fundamental to how the library will work or simply better upgrades. For an example of breaking changes, would you completely deprecate useShopQuery in v2.0 and force everyone into useLoaderData. Thanks!

There will be some breaking changes, because there are some fundamental shifts. v1.0 data is fetched within server components all throughout the tree. v2 data should be fetched from within loaders on each route. More details soon, but we hope to make migration relatively easy!
