MultiMode and RetainerSense seems to be broken with this last update. (v4.3.1.6) #81

Checking the MultiMode box does nothing (such as logging me out and it doesn't prevent intro videos from playing), and RetainerSense doesn't function either when I'm near a Summoning Bell.

The plugin itself functions as it should if I manually access a Summoning Bell, but the other automated functions don't do anything. (I do use ARC, the plugin that expands on the venture selection, if that means anything. Though I did disable it to see if there was any impact, but there was no change.)

I'm checking my settings to make sure nothing's changed, but they all look the same they've been for months.

Please update the plugin to actual latest version 4.3.1.7 and restart your game.
Also make sure that release selected in /xlbranch

Sorry I didn't respond yesterday.

I just opened the game, checked /xlbranch, and "release" is selected. But I'm watching the /xllog and it's flooded with this error message. I should have checked the xllog yesterday, but I forgot it was a thing until just now.

Oh. Right. I'm still on 4.3.1.6. There's no an option to update, or am I to do it manually?

I can also confirm that it still doesn't work in version 4.3.1.7. Multi mode will not trigger if its enabled while you're logged in and when it does, all it does it log out and log back in without checking any bells.

Logs (gist)
Line 425 is when i logged out an renabled multi mode, it logged my character in and immediately logged back out without checking the bell I was standing next to in ul'dah. Before that, the addon had successfully resent my retainer out on my main when I checked the bell manually.

let me know if any more infomation would be helpful

can you type /xlbranch and confirm you're on "release"?

Yes, I'm on release. In about an hour I'll try forcing multi to trigger again from the login screen and capture the xllog. I didn't think to grab that initially mb

I'm not getting any error messages anymore, but it's still only on v###.6

That's weird. Probably try to restart your game

I would need your config file: %appdata%\XIVLauncher\pluginConfigs\AutoRetainer\DefaultConfig.json
I advise you to join Discord and send it to me in DM and not upload it here, though

I restarted just before deleting and reinstalling. I'll try it again just in case. But deleting and reinstalling gave it the kickstart needed to automate, so that issue's done, assuming there won't be a followup issue with startup. Restarting now.

Restarted, still no option to update, but now Multimode and proximity detection are working.

I'll try that next, is there any way to backup the venture plans or will they not be touched during a reinstall?

If a reinstall doesn't fix it, I'll jump in.
