  1. Open SCXML file
  2. Open visual editor to the side
  3. Activate the text editor tab
  4. Create a new tab (or switch to another tab)
  5. Adjust visual diagram

EXPECTED: changes affect the text document
ACTUAL: the visual editor no longer communicates with the text editor
