Say I wanted to contribute some data, how would I go about that? #9

I'm in the process of doing some original research into the hardware resolution, physical size, and pixel density of various devices (testing physical devices, scraping wikipedia, querying the last open source version of wufrl, and checking manufacturer websites). I'm a good month or so away from completion, but I expect to have good data for several hundred devices. My question is:

  1. What (if any) documentation do I need to provide to ensure that my data complies with relevant licenses. I think all the sources I described above comply with ODbL (only unsure about manufacturer websites). My current thinking is to make 1 commit per data source, no more, no less, so it's easy to back peddle if a source is later deemed incompatible.

  2. These are brand new properties, not just new values for existing properties. Do I have to do anything special to the XML to add them? Without really understanding the structure, it looks like I would have to add one xml node to coreVocabulary.xml, oddrLimitedVocabulary.xml, and oddrVocabulary.xml. Then I guess I'd add one node per property, per device to DeviceDataSource.xml. Is that right?

I am absolutely curious about this. Would be great to hear feedback.
