I'm currently parsing a lot of User Agents and would love to contribute with the User Agents that doesn't match so we can get them into next release.

How do i do this in the best way? Further down i have a couple that i looked up and then followed by a list of user agents that didn't match for me (maybe i have the tool setup the wrong way)

Hi anjo87,
Thank you for your contribute! The best way to help OpenDDR to grow up is by sharing yours user agents.
The list you provided is very useful and allow OpenDDR Dev Team to update the OpenDDR Repository.
You can send us your useragents to [email protected].
We have already started to analyze your user agents and we are planning to handle them in the next release!
Cheers,
OpenDDR Dev. Team

Hi OpenDDR team,

Could you please post documentation on how to patch the XML files ourselves? That way we could much faster update the resource files.

Thanks for all your work!

Diederik, you can look at this for an example OpenDDR patchfile:

https://github.com/TheWeatherChannel/dClass/tree/master/openddr

The first file to look at is the BuilderDataSourcePatch.xml:

https://github.com/TheWeatherChannel/dClass/blob/master/openddr/BuilderDataSourcePatch.xml

In this file, you define the builder patterns to identify the device. Attach a device using the ID attribute.

If you define new devices, put them in DeviceDataSourcePatch.xml:

https://github.com/TheWeatherChannel/dClass/blob/master/openddr/DeviceDataSourcePatch.xml

Go ahead and put any device attributes in there. Devices can inherit attributes from their parents as well.

A lot of this stuff is API specific, but I believe all known APIs should support what I explained above. Let me know if you have any questions.

Reza
