##What is Supplychainpy?

Supplychainpy is a Python library for supply chain analysis, modelling and simulation. The library assists a workflow that is reliant on Excel and VBA. Quite often Demand Planners, Buyers, Supply Chain Analysts and BI Analysts have to create their tools in Microsoft Excel for one reason or another. There are many data visualisation tools like Qlikview, Tableau and open source tools like Redash. Supplychainpy provides a set of quick visualisations and reports to supercharge your analysis and gets the most out of a small set of data.

The library contains several components including:

  • Pareto Analysis
  • Demand Planning
  • Forecasting
  • A Reporting Suite
  • Recommendation Generator
  • Monte Carlo Simulation
  • Chat Bot

Many of the first modules developed were low hanging fruit. Supply Chain management is not only about inventory management and optimisation. The library has every intention of implementing production scheduling and capacity planning, warehouse optimisation and logistics optimisation features (see <a href="#roadmap> roadmap for more details).
