More slide transitions

HI, I am very pleased with the amazing features and functionality of pipresents, and I expect you have already been asked for this but is there any chance of some alternative slide transitions rather than just cutting from one to another please ?

I did try and do this but it is very difficult. Using Python and the Python Image library is too slow. I would need an image display system that uses the GPU. There is such a thing, Pi3D and OpenGLes, which I tried but my little brain could not cope. If anyone can provide me with Python code that fades from one image to another I will happily incorporate it into PP.
