Given that Schwab limits export of the transaction history to 4 years (requiring one to use PDF statements which is an extra headache) but the equity awards history - to 10 years, it would seem logical to use the equity awards data not just for prices but also for amounts.
Any fundamental reason not to do this that I'm missing? Thanks!

Actually never mind - figured out that the code needs to know all the transactions anyway to calculate capital gains, so fetching amounts from equity awards data won't help much.
