After installing the Esmira app on the mobile, it is easy to initialize the study by opening the link esmira://SERVER/ID-KEY in the browser.
However, when clicking accidentally this link again at a later point, then the app reacts with the cryptic error "Could not find public studies on this server." and only offers the possibility to return to the browser page.
This is a bit confusing. Is it be possible to replace this message by something like "Study already initialized, open it by starting the Esmira app." Or even better, let the app just enter the study as if it were started directy?

Hm you are right. This is not the best behavior. We should change the feedback / behavior there.
