Certainly. I can see from the author list that Deniz Eroglu is a person also working in Potsdam, maybe even under Norbert. Maybe they want to share their implementation, and adding this here could possible without much effort.
Deniz and Ibo were working in our group, but meanwhile left for another position. Nevertheless, I guess they would be happy to share some code. On the other hand, the method (edit distance RP) might require a bit more explanation and more care when using it.

Ozken et al describe a possibility to use recurrence plots also for irregularly sampled data.
