Since 1.19.4 armor stand no longer loses their custom name when breaking, so I think that armor stand entity should render in preview similarly to wearable items renders weared on a player (render entity instead of player wearing a item) but not remove in-hand preview.
I also think that same system should be used for fish buckets, boats and minecarts

Good point, i think this will be implemented.
Speaking of in-hand preview and entity preview for one rename entry, i think it could be done as showing armor stand entity instead of bigger item's preview and still show in-hand preview on shift, and mb it also should influence on cem preview: now only mob preview is shown and nothing happens on shift, mb for parity reasons it will also show in-hand preview of name tag. Not sure about it now
