  • try to improve auto-correction (#71, #86)
  • add number pad
  • allow enabling split keyboard for large enough phones (landscape mode only)
  • remove old material themes
    • your theme might change if you decided to keep an old one after the last update

All releases are mostly development versions. They can be used, but may contain confusing or unnecessary settings. Settings may be removed or reset on updates. Consider all releases as beta quality at best.

Changes since v3:

  • some layout adjjustments / improvements
  • adjusted layout for setup wizard
  • narrower key gaps in (with option to go back to old ones)
  • all themes are now based on the theming system initially created for user-defined themes
    • original old themes are still available, but will be removed in v5
    • replacements of the old themes may look slightly different than the originals (especially no-border dark theme)
  • user-defined auto-theme can switch between 2 themes of your choice
  • split number row when splitting keyboard
  • some bug fixes
    • spell check if word ends with period is fixed, but this seems to have introduced another bug: #55

Plan for v5:

  • remove old themes
  • re-work language settings (keyboard will show up as a single keyboard in keyboard switcher (long press space), without languages)
  • remove dictionaries for languages with less than 10 million speakers from built-in dictionaries (sorry, you may need to download a dictionary from https://codeberg.org/Helium314/aosp-dictionaries)
  • add numpad
  • allow splitting keyboard on phones
  • add some pre-defined themes

This is a version of OpenBoard with some of the open PRs merged, and some more work I never finished because the OpenBoard devs stopped responding.
The added functionality has not been tested a lot, so be prepared for bugs or unexpected behavior.

This version uses different signing keys than v2+, so you can't install v2+ as update to this, or other way round.
