About "Reload .editorconfig"

I take it .editorconfig is some optional configuration file, that can be individually edited per project.

Is it edited regularly enough to warrent its own menu "Reload .editorconfig"? [BTW, the ellipsis of that menu label should be removed]

Wouldn't it make more sense to auto-reload the node-monitored .editorconfig?

It is when you have several files opened and need to update them all. Otherwise you would need to close them and reopen, not very convenient especially if you are making some tests or adjustments.
I started applying a change to watch it but the things are not as easy as it seems and I preferred to do it later.
There may be multiple .editorconfig files in the same project, potentially one for each folder. The library takes care of precedences and overridden properties along the hierarchy. This means that all the .editorconfig files must be watched (this needs to happen when the filesystem is recursively scanned to create the project tree) and consequently unwatched when the project is closed. Sounds like it deserves more thoughts and a separate PR.

To add more to this, editorconfig is more than an "optional configuration file" it is the de facto standard to enforce a set of editing rules to large projects. I'll give you an example, I'm working in parallel on Genio, OmniSharp and CppSharp. All three are very large projects using different rulesets. CppSharp uses spaces and an indent size of 4 while Genio uses tabs. Switching from one to another was a nightmere before... Let alone if you work with Python projects where indentation is part of the language syntax.

I see. I've never used .editorconfig in any project and haven't seen it yet outside of Genio...
Can the menu item be disabled if there are no .editorconfigs around or they are ignored in the settings?

It can't at the moment because we need to scan the tree to know if there are not .editorconfig files anywhere. It triggers an update to the opened editors but the editorconfig_core_c library detects this scenario and does nothing.

Geany, NetBeans, IntelliJ Idea, Vim and Emacs do support it as well.
Koder might implent something similar (a custom one, though).

Alright. When you get a chance, could you remove the ellipsis fromt the menu label and re-generate the en.catkeys next time you have a chance. I don't want to bother you with yet another PR... :)
