Describe the bug

Affected site: annotate.gate.ac.uk
Reported by Mughda:

Annotators alusoli and mcanute had done some annotation work on project 74 in early December. They did not complete the task at that time and now (March) they were removed by Mughda from project 74 then alusoli was added to projects 108 was rejected because it didn't work then added to 109 and mcanute was added to project 107

The annotators, on accessing the Annotate page, received a system error, that "there was a problem with your task" and were told to contact the administrator.

They'd had to go and create new accounts on the system to be able to participate in the new projects.

Dai also reported:

A similar issue has also happened to her account. When she tries to add someone to a new project, if it fails due to them already being in another project, then they cannot be added to another project even after removing them from their current project.

Additional context

It would seem that these are exceptional cases as Mughda reported that it works when she tests it on her on and for other annotators.

May relate to #361 and #362 - issue and PR dealing with rejected annotators being unable to join other projects.
