I love the diagram. Very clean.
Maybe we could make two stages for that rework? |

This might need to be shown to the player in less subtle ways. |

I like the general idea but I'm afraid it may be a bit too linear Also for the legendary's biomes wouldn't that overlap a bit to much with the research missions idea ? |

So I had an idea for laying out the biomes over a run, and I made a fun diagram for it:
The basic idea is that each biome is organized into a bucket or tier, and the pool for a given 10-wave interval is comprised of biomes from overlapping tiers. The higher the tier, the more "exotic" the biome is, with more rare Pokemon to follow suit.
Some examples of tier placements, using ideas from the biome sheet
The highest tier could be set up like a unique dungeon that can only appear in waves 170-179 where you can find box legendaries or legendaries of similar status (Calyrex in the Overgrown Castle, for example)
However, there are also soft links between biomes. A linked biome is more likely (or even guaranteed) to follow the linking biome, and the two biomes can be in the same tier or in adjacent tiers. Generally, more biomes would be linked together in the lower tiers, and the highest tiers would have little to no links.
These two systems are meant to work together to enforce some geographic continuity in the player's journey early on, but progressively break that continuity as the world is distorted by all the legendaries clashing.
