Application information at the top of each page

I find it annoying that I cannot see in which application I am working. Could the number appear at the top of each page when filling out the application form? A number is allocated when starting a new application, right?

I think this is more useful for testing than in practice. I think in practice applicants won't be juggling a lot of different applications, so they'll have a good idea of what they are working on.
