What happened?

I streamed minecraft several times on Twitch and saved the VODs on Twitch, so people could watch it,
if they ever bump into my channel, so they know that I do stream on the platform.

Anyway, a few days after I streamed minecraft, aka All The Mods v10
I got a notification from Twitch that I was violating terms of service and a copyright injunction has been placed on my channel
for 9 of my "minecraft" All The Mods v10 VODs from my streams.

I DO NOT have any commercial music running in the background, the ONLY thing I have is the in game music that comes with the pack.
A friend of mine informed me that it is possible that one of the mods in the pack is using illegal music and sounds in their mods
that's included in the pack.
So when streamers content creators like myself stream and also save streams into VODs
we get copyright notices and strikes.
Really fkng unfair because I am not streaming commercial music, I am just playing the game.

Here is the notice, I have 9 of these notices.
And I am now FORCED to never stream minecraft on Twitch again. I am forced to only stream it on Kick and YouTube now,
when it comes to minecraft game. I am pretty fkng pissed off about this.

so they could try to save my VODs, because I did nothing wrong, as I am being accused of using copyright things.

I got absolutely no replies back, not even a recognition to the situation.
I believe because I am not a famous streamer and a tiny content creator, my voice does not matter.
So I get lost in the wind, never to be recognized in matters like this.

Just wanted to say your VODs are fine. There's just a few portions with no audio due to the copyrighted music. It is unfortunate that some of the music in game is copyrighted. Hopefully the devs will get that worked out

So I don't think you read the email. It says it wasn't generated from a DMCA notice and it didn't result in a copyright strike from you account. Also the content if you look them up are 1 just extremely generic water sounds, and the 2 songs seem to have a section with again extremely generic water sounds. I don't think a mod author sought these sounds out from copyrighted content. Most likely it's one of two options:

1. the songs themselves used some water sound samples they found from somewhere that a mod author also found and used. Since this was an automated match it thinks those sounds came from the songs.
2. the content match is matching a perfectly legitimate water sound because they happen to sound similar.

Either way I don't think a mod author has done anything wrong and if you read the email nothing has been flagged on your account and you're fine to keep streaming.
