Is the server behind this dead?

This app worked for me years ago, but now it just scrolls to a corner whenever I search for anything. The phonebook is unresponsive, too. Depending on how it's architected, that could be the client's response to a silent server.

In the years since I found this so helpful (thanks!), Google Maps has gained the ability to search for CERN buildings by number. Still, it doesn't show them with the numbers right on the map.

Thanks for using the app. It makes me really happy that you find it useful.

The scrolling issue is probably because the last update was done for Android v4. I suspect the WebViews in newer versions work slightly different. There is indeed a server behind the phonebook feature - the same one as in phonebook.cern.ch.

Since CERN offered an official equivalent (MapCERN on Play) and I got more and more busy with other projects I have decided to stop updating the code (only so much time). I don't want this app to be unnecessary competition to something that CERN is properly maintaining. So I will encourage you to try their app.
