We should also try to adopt the automated conformance checker using the asserts that the other AOM specs have started to use

We may not be able to do this until ComplianceWarden is updated IIUC.

FYI there is already this script submitted by @podborski : https://github.com/gpac/ComplianceWarden/blob/master/scripts/aomrules.py

@rbouqueau
I'm playing around with ComplianceWarden, but every time I run it on an AVIF file with JSON output "successful_checks" is empty. Looking at the AV1-HDR10+ setup, this does not seem to be the expectation. Am I missing something?

When I merged the experiment made for av1-isobmff with @cconcolato and @podborski 1) I thought the works would continue and 2) I didn't know the JSON report would also be used by others soon :)

No worries, was just wondering if I was missing something. Sounds like this is something that will need to be implemented before we can have conformance stats.
