@heroldn I'm creating an issue for these changes, if you think of something else please add it here.

  1. deposit form:
  • move custom fields under additional descriptions or publisher
  1. search guide:
  • complete and double check all examples work with open search
  1. colour scheme:

@heroldn I changed the deposit form a bit

here's a screenshot of part of it:

Specifically:

  • I moved the subjects field in the "Keywords" section and put this after the recommended information;
  • I've removed completely the language selection box as this is going to be English all the time, I'm looking at option to have it set as such by default
  • I moved the awards section after the links, and moved "Related works" above "Alternate identifiers, as we're more likely to use them.
  • I also set it up so these are collapsed by default, however "Related works" is an important field, so maybe we could leave this section as active.
You can also see it on the website itself, let me know if this is better, and if there's anything else I could improve.

More updates, I manage to show the new custom_fields in the side bar with the subjects.

NB If you click on one of the terms it will execute a search for that specific tag, I always forget that

Finally, I found out what the issue with additional_descriptions not showing the formatting was, and I fixed it

Some more minor progress on the search panel on the left side:

I could collapse at least the subjects field
Not success with the others or with moving the location of the all versions switch further down. For the custom_fields collapse option, there's potentially a way of doing it but it's still not working correctly.
Moving the version, I found what should be changed but my first attempt produced and error, I'll keep on investigating, but it's less of a priority. If we can collapse all the fields it will make it more readable, so I think it's more important

Great Paola! My immense contribution is to convert the list to a checkbox in the main comment.
